Burger King has expanded its signature Whopper lineup with the debut of a bold new option: the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper. The burger became available nationwide on March 6, drawing inspiration from traditional steakhouse flavors.
Created in response to strong customer interest, the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper is designed to deliver a rich and savory taste experience. It features a flame-grilled beef patty topped with A.1. sauce, crispy onions, smoky bacon, Swiss cheese, creamy peppercorn aioli, fresh lettuce, and tomato—all served on Burger King’s signature bun.
The launch follows Burger King’s 2023 “Million Dollar Whopper Contest,” which invited customers to submit their ideal Whopper creations. That campaign led to the release of three limited-time flavors: the Fried Pickle Ranch Whopper, Maple Bourbon BBQ Whopper, and Mexican Street Corn Whopper. The new Steakhouse Bacon Whopper now builds on that initiative, offering fans another twist on the brand’s iconic sandwich.
Christy Skylis, Vice President of Brand Marketing and Culinary for Burger King U.S. and Canada, said the new Whopper reflects the company’s commitment to listening to its customers. “We are constantly listening to our Guests to learn how they want to customize America’s Favorite Burger, which is why we’re so excited about the new Steakhouse Bacon Whopper,” Skylis said.
She also hinted at more innovation to come. “This creation is the result of our passionate Guests and Whopper lovers, and we look forward to bringing even more guest-created and inspired creations to our menu later this year and in the future—so keep the great ideas coming!” she added.
The Steakhouse Bacon Whopper is now available for a limited time at participating Burger King locations across the United States.
