Taco Bell is continuing its streak of innovation by launching new menu items one after another. This strategy has paid off, with the brand reporting an 11% increase in same-store sales in 2025 compared to the previous year, fueling significant growth.
But fans can expect even more excitement. Although Taco Bell announced 30 new menu items earlier this year, the chain has quietly added more unique dishes to keep customers guessing.
Nacho Fries Get an Upgrade
Fries are a staple for any fast-food chain, but Taco Bell didn’t officially offer them until 2018. That year, the chain introduced Nacho Fries as a limited-time item, and they quickly became a fan favorite. These fries stand out because Taco Bell adds a special Mexican spice blend, making them different from regular fries.
After being discontinued for a while, Nacho Fries have returned seasonally as surprise menu drops. Now, Taco Bell has unveiled a new twist with the Loaded Steak & Jalapeño Topped Fries. This dish features the classic Nacho Fries loaded with nacho cheese sauce, grilled marinated steak, creamy jalapeño sauce, and pickled jalapeños.
The Loaded Steak & Jalapeño Topped Fries are available for a limited time at participating Taco Bell locations nationwide. Customers can find more details on the official Taco Bell website.
This surprise launch shows that Taco Bell is not done innovating and continues to keep its menu fresh and exciting for fans.
