Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is rapidly growing his Whataburger empire in Missouri. According to a recent report from the Houston Chronicle, Mahomes’ investment group, KMO Burgers, plans to add 16 new Whataburger restaurants to the state. This will nearly triple their current presence from 13 locations to 29.
The expansion targets key areas including Kansas City, Springfield, and Lee’s Summit, marking a significant push into southern Missouri. Existing Whataburger locations already serve cities like Branson, Ozark, Joplin, and Springfield.
In a statement shared by the Chronicle, Mahomes said, “The brand means a lot to me—not just for the food, but for how it brings people together. Our team at KMO Burger is ready to keep raising the bar.”
This move further highlights Mahomes’ ability to balance his NFL career with business ventures. Beyond his success on the football field, he continues to build a growing restaurant chain, showing his skills as both an athlete and an entrepreneur. For Mahomes, it seems the future keeps getting brighter — both on and off the field.
