Burger King is making major changes in 2025, with plans to remodel 400 restaurants and introduce new menu offers, all aimed at enhancing customer experience and modernizing the brand.
The company’s parent, Restaurant Brands International (RBI), revealed the plans during a recent earnings call. This is part of a broader strategy to update 85% of Burger King’s stores by 2028.
Central to the renovations is the new “Sizzle” store model, which includes features like digital menu boards, in-store kiosks, upgraded decor, and quicker mobile order pick-up options. The goal is to improve both the physical space and the overall customer experience to attract more visitors.
Burger King already remodeled 370 stores in 2024, with 80 adopting the Sizzle model. These locations saw higher sales, prompting the chain to expand the effort in 2025.
In addition to store updates, Burger King is also launching value promotions such as the $5 Duos and $7 Trios, where customers can mix and match two or three favorite items for a low price. The introduction of premium items like the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper adds variety to the menu.
These changes are part of RBI’s ongoing “Reclaim the Flame” campaign, which began in 2022 with a $400 million investment. That amount included $150 million for digital tools and advertising, and $250 million for store upgrades. This year, the company is adding $300 million to speed up these efforts.
While Tim Hortons and Popeyes are also undergoing changes, Burger King’s efforts are particularly aimed at revitalizing the brand. For years, it has been overshadowed by McDonald’s, but with modernized stores, new menu options, and advanced technology, Burger King is positioning itself for a comeback.
