Restaurant Brings 70 Jobs to the Community and Donates $25,000 to Fight Hunger.
WOODSIDE, NEW YORK (May 5, 2025) – A new Chick-fil-A restaurant will open its doors in Woodside on Thursday, May 8, bringing around 70 new jobs to the area. The new location, Chick-fil-A Northern Blvd, will be operated by Aman Mekonen, who currently manages the Chick-fil-A in Jackson Heights.
The restaurant, located at 32-67 68th St., is situated at the northeast corner of Northern Blvd. and the BQE. It will be open Monday through Saturday, from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Customers can enjoy dine-in, carry-out, curbside pickup, and catering services.
Commitment to the Community
Mekonen has expressed a strong commitment to supporting the Woodside community, with plans to give back in several ways:
He will participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table® program, which provides surplus food to local nonprofits. The program has already helped create over 35 million meals for those in need.
In celebration of the restaurant’s opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. is donating $25,000 to Feeding America, a nonprofit organization working to fight hunger. The donation will support local hunger relief efforts in the greater Queens area.
