June 20, 2025 — Wendy’s is turning up the heat this summer with a new limited-time offering. Starting Friday, June 20, customers can try the Takis Fuego Meal at participating Wendy’s locations across the U.S., the fast-food chain announced.
The new menu items are part of a partnership between Wendy’s and the popular snack brand Takis. The special meal includes a Takis Fuego Chicken Sandwich and a side of Fuego Fries. According to Wendy’s, the sandwich features the brand’s signature spicy chicken filet topped with crushed Takis Fuego chips, chili lime sauce, a creamy corn spread, and cheese sauce.
The fries are also getting a spicy makeover. The Fuego Fries are tossed in a chili lime seasoning blend, offering a bold, tangy flavor. As an added bonus, customers will receive a 1-ounce bag of Takis Fuego corn chips with their order — but only while supplies last.
Wendy’s did not disclose pricing details for the meal. However, the new items will be available as part of a combo meal or a la carte for a limited time. The company has not confirmed when the offer will end.
The collaboration comes after Wendy’s hinted at new menu items and a broader chicken lineup earlier this year. In March, the brand teased a partnership with Takis and revealed plans to expand its chicken offerings. The Wendy’s menu already features a variety of chicken options, including classic nuggets and a crispy chicken BLT sandwich.
For fans of bold, spicy flavors, this fiery fusion may be the perfect summer treat — but they’ll need to act fast before it disappears from the menu.
