McDonald’s has announced it will stop selling four popular menu items in its UK restaurants starting this week. The decision affects customers across the country, including those in Birmingham.
From Tuesday, June 17, McDonald’s will remove the McSpicy x Frank’s RedHot burger, the Steakhouse Stack, Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers, and the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry from its menus.
The McSpicy x Frank’s RedHot is known for its bold and spicy flavors. It features a 100% chicken breast coated in a hot, crispy batter. The sandwich is topped with crunchy lettuce, Emmental cheese, jalapeños, slivered onions, and Frank’s RedHot Mayo, all served in a toasted sesame seed bun.
The Frank’s RedHot Mayo, which can also be purchased separately to add spice to any item, is exclusive to McDonald’s UK. Customers ordering the McSpicy x Frank’s RedHot through the McDonald’s App have earned double points during its availability.
The Steakhouse Stack is a beef burger made with two 100% British and Irish beef patties. It includes cheddar cheese, crispy onions, red onions, and fresh lettuce. The burger is finished with a savory black peppercorn sauce and served in a toasted glazed sesame bun.
Additionally, the Cheesy Garlic Bread Dippers and the Lotus Biscoff McFlurry will be removed on the same day. Both items have enjoyed popularity among customers.
On a different note, Pokémon fans have a limited-time offering with the Dragon-Type Pokémon Happy Meal. Available from May 14 to June 17, this Happy Meal includes one of eight Dragon-Type Pokémon toys or one of two Little People Big Dreams books titled “I Can Make Amazing Music” or “I Can Be a Wonderful Artist.” Each toy comes with four Pokémon Trading Cards and an activity sheet, creating an interactive and fun experience for children.
The removal of these menu items marks a shift in McDonald’s UK offerings as the company refreshes its menu to make way for new products. Customers will need to act quickly if they want to enjoy these items before they disappear.
