DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Chipotle Mexican Grill is adding a bold new flavor to its menu for the first time in half a decade.
Starting Monday, June 17, Chipotle locations across the United States and Canada will begin offering a new Adobo Ranch sauce. The addition marks the first new sauce from the fast-casual chain in five years.
Described by the company as a smoky and spicy twist on traditional ranch dressing, the Adobo Ranch sauce is made with a blend of adobo pepper, sour cream, and a mix of herbs and spices.
Chris Brandt, Chipotle’s president and chief brand officer, said the move reflects growing demand for ranch-style flavors, especially among younger consumers.
“Gen Z has made ranch a cultural phenomenon,” said Brandt. “Our new Adobo Ranch taps into this passion, giving fans a crave-worthy way to customize their Chipotle order with a completely new flavor.”
To celebrate the launch, Chipotle Rewards members will be eligible for a free serving of the new sauce with any purchase of $5 or more on June 17. To qualify, customers must have created a Chipotle Rewards account by 11 p.m. local time on June 16.
The last time Chipotle introduced a new sauce was in 2020 with the nationwide debut of Queso Blanco. Earlier in 2024, the company also expanded its protein offerings with the launch of Chipotle Honey Chicken.
The Adobo Ranch rollout continues Chipotle’s trend of menu innovation as the brand looks to attract a broader range of flavor preferences and strengthen customer engagement through its digital loyalty platform.
