May 22, 2025 – Taco Bell is turning up the heat with the launch of its newest sauce, Mike’s Hot Honey Diablo, offering a bold new flavor twist for its Crispy Chicken Nuggets. This new sauce blends the sweet heat of Mike’s Hot Honey® with the smoky spice of Taco Bell’s Diablo Sauce, creating a rich, spicy option for fans who crave intense flavor.
This collaboration marks the first time Mike’s Hot Honey has developed a brand-new sauce in partnership with another brand. The result is a sauce that delivers a sharp, chili-forward heat with a touch of sweetness, designed to complement Taco Bell’s crispy chicken menu.
The Mike’s Hot Honey Diablo Sauce is now available for a limited time at participating Taco Bell locations across the U.S. Customers can order it with 5-piece or 10-piece Crispy Chicken Nuggets, or add it on the side for just $0.25, while supplies last.
A Limited-Time Sauce with Style
To celebrate the launch, Taco Bell and Mike’s Hot Honey are offering a special merchandise drop. On Tuesday, May 27 at 2 p.m. PST, 500 Taco Bell Rewards Members will have a chance to claim a limited-edition Mike’s Hot Honey Jacket through the Taco Bell app. The jackets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Future of Crispy Chicken at Taco Bell
This new sauce launch is part of Taco Bell’s broader effort to expand its crispy chicken offerings. Following the strong fan response to the return of Crispy Chicken Nuggets in April, the chain is continuing to test new menu items. Currently, Taco Bell is trying out Crispy Chicken Tacos and Burritos at select locations in Charlotte, North Carolina.
These test items are part of the brand’s strategy to make crispy chicken a permanent part of its menu by 2026. Customer feedback will play a key role in shaping what items stay.
Recycling with TerraCycle
Taco Bell also reminds customers about its partnership with TerraCycle®, which allows fans to recycle their used sauce containers. After enjoying their nuggets and dipping sauces, customers can send the empty cups to the Taco Bell Sauce Container US Recycling Program. Since the program launched, hundreds of thousands of single-use sauce packets and containers have been recycled.
