During middle school, many kids, including myself and my neighborhood friends, were obsessed with Takis snacks. The craze was so intense that our school ended up banning them. Despite the ban, students still sneaked Takis in to sell to others. We really took our love for Takis seriously. So, it was exciting to hear that Takis is now launching its first-ever sweet flavor, inspired by a popular Taco Bell dessert.
Earlier this year, Takis surprised fans by releasing a limited-edition Buckin’ Ranch flavor, which replaced their usual spicy taste with something different. Now, they are trying something sweeter with their new Churro Charge flavor.
This new variety features the familiar rolled corn chip, but instead of the usual spicy-citrus seasoning, it is coated in cinnamon sugar. The flavor is inspired by the churro, a favorite Taco Bell dessert that is deep-fried and covered in cinnamon sugar, often served with chocolate dipping sauce. The chips offer a crunchy, bite-sized version of churros that come in a convenient bag.
Fans have started sharing their opinions after trying the new flavor. So far, the response has been very positive. When Takis announced the Churro Charge flavor on Instagram, fans celebrated and said they would buy it as soon as possible. Some even posted videos on TikTok tasting the chips. One user said they were “so good” that the chips would be gone before her kids could try them.
The new Takis flavor is already available at stores like Walmart, Target, and Safeway. Given how fast the Buckin’ Ranch flavor sold out, it is likely that Churro Charge will also disappear from shelves quickly. If you want to try them, it’s best to act fast.
