Dick’s Drive-In, a beloved Seattle-area fast-food burger chain, is set to open its 10th restaurant—and second in Snohomish County—on June 12 in Everett.
Jasmine Donovan, CEO and granddaughter of founder Dick Spady, expressed excitement about the new site. “We’re thrilled to open another location in Snohomish County, our first since 2011 when we opened Edmonds,” she said in an email. “This area of south Everett, near Paine Field, is growing, and we’re excited to be part of and contribute to this community.”
The new restaurant will be located at 1629 Center Road and will operate daily from 10:30 a.m. to 2 a.m.
Hiring began in January, and the company has already brought on about 25 employees. These workers are currently training and gaining experience at other Dick’s locations. The Everett site expects to hire around 40 staff members in total.
Continuing a cherished tradition, Dick’s has launched its “Orange Ticket” contest in the lead-up to the opening. Through email newsletters and social media, customers can find clues about how to win one of 12 Orange Tickets. Winners will have the unique opportunity to join the ribbon-cutting ceremony on opening day. Details and rules are available on the Orange Ticket website.
Donovan emphasized the community spirit of the event. “We’re going to show up in some great places around the Everett area,” she said in a news release. “Inviting our neighbors to join us on the patio to cut the ribbon on day one is my favorite tradition when we open a new restaurant in a new community.”
The grand-opening celebration will feature local high school bands, bagpipers, special merchandise, giveaways, games, and food. Orange Ticket winners will join local VIPs for the ribbon-cutting and be among the first to enjoy Dick’s signature Deluxe burger, fries, and shake at the new Everett location.
Founded in 1954, Dick’s Drive-In is a family-owned chain with five locations in Seattle, plus sites in Bellevue, Edmonds, Federal Way, and Kent. The company also operates two food trucks.
