Burger King is adding a fiery new twist to its menu this summer with limited-time items inspired by the upcoming live-action release of How to Train Your Dragon. The fast-food chain announced the collaboration with Universal Pictures, launching the themed offerings starting May 27.
The new lineup includes:
Dragon Flame-Grilled Whopper: A spicy take on the classic Whopper, featuring a red-and-orange marbled bun made with natural spices.
Fiery Dragon Mozzarella Fries: Mozzarella sticks coated in chili pepper breading, served in a collectible Toothless-themed carton.
Soaring Strawberry Lemonade: A refreshing fruit juice drink inspired by the skies of Berk, the story’s setting.
Viking’s Chocolate Sundae: Soft-serve ice cream topped with Hershey’s syrup and black-and-green cookie crumbles.
These items will be available nationwide for a limited time, although Burger King has not released details about the duration or nutritional content.
The partnership marks one of Burger King’s notable collaborations, reminiscent of the fast-food tie-ins common in the 1980s and 1990s. Back then, blockbuster movies often partnered with major chains like McDonald’s or Burger King to reach young audiences. While such partnerships have become less frequent due to concerns about marketing unhealthy food to children, they remain a powerful way to attract customers.
Burger King hopes this dragon-themed menu will excite fans and bring a fresh twist to its classic offerings this summer.
