Chick-fil-A is set to reopen its Downtown Silver Spring restaurant on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, following a closure for renovations that began in late January of this year.
The Downtown Silver Spring location, situated at 825 Ellsworth Drive, was last remodeled in 2017. A previously planned 10-week renovation in 2023 was delayed and ultimately canceled due to permitting issues, which postponed the update until this current renovation period.
This reopening marks the return of a popular Chick-fil-A spot that serves the Silver Spring community with its signature fast-casual dining experience. The renovation aims to enhance the restaurant’s ambiance and operational efficiency, continuing Chick-fil-A’s tradition of quality service and food.
Chick-fil-A’s presence in Silver Spring also includes the Tech Road location, which underwent its own renovation and reopened in March 2024. That location features a newly designed dining room and kitchen and employs approximately 100 full- and part-time team members under local Owner-Operator Tina Oyeniya, who emphasizes community engagement and philanthropic efforts.
The Downtown Silver Spring reopening is highly anticipated by local customers eager to enjoy Chick-fil-A’s well-known menu items, including the original chicken sandwich, in an updated setting.
