OROVILLE, Calif. – A new Chick-fil-A restaurant is set to open in Oroville following approval from the city’s Planning Commission.
During its April 24 meeting, the commission gave the green light for the restaurant to be built next to the Maverick Gas Station on Oroville Dam Boulevard East. While reviewing the project, commissioners discussed possible traffic concerns and recommended the installation of a streetlight to improve visibility at the entrance.
Construction is expected to begin in early 2025, with the restaurant slated to open in fall 2026.
This development comes shortly after the Chico Planning Commission approved a separate Chick-fil-A location on Forest Avenue in Chico earlier in April. Currently, the nearest Chick-fil-A restaurants are in Redding, where two locations serve customers.
