June 17, 2025 — Chipotle Mexican Grill is adding a bold new item to its menu for the first time in half a decade. Starting Monday, June 17, customers across the U.S. and Canada can try the fast-casual chain’s latest creation — the Adobo Ranch dip.
Described as a smoky and spicy take on classic ranch, Adobo Ranch features a blend of adobo pepper, sour cream, and a mix of herbs and spices, according to a statement from the company. It marks Chipotle’s first dip release since 2019.
To celebrate the launch, Chipotle Rewards members can try the new dip for free on launch day, but the offer is valid only on June 17.
The introduction comes as ranch officially surpassed ketchup as America’s favorite condiment in 2024, according to data reported by The Wall Street Journal. The growing popularity of ranch-based sauces — especially among Gen Z consumers — helped influence Chipotle’s decision.
“Ranch has become a cultural phenomenon, especially among Gen Z, who are finding creative ways to enjoy it beyond the traditional salad,” said Chris Brandt, Chipotle President and Chief Brand Officer. “Our new Adobo Ranch taps into this passion, giving fans a crave-worthy way to customize their Chipotle order with a completely new flavor.”
Chipotle customers in Southlake, Texas, can find the new dip at the brand’s two local restaurants, located at 3010 E. Southlake Blvd.
Adobo Ranch is now available as a customizable dipping option at Chipotle’s locations across North America.
