Burger King has brought back a popular limited-time item just in time for Lent—the Fiery Big Fish Sandwich, a spicy twist on its classic seafood offering.
The fast-food chain, known for its iconic Whopper, continues to expand its menu with seasonal and specialty items. Following the recent debut of the Steakhouse Bacon Whopper, part of its Million Dollar Whopper competition, Burger King is now focusing on seafood for the Lenten season.
The Fiery Big Fish Sandwich features the same components as the original Big Fish—a panko-breaded white fish fillet, tartar sauce, pickles, and lettuce on a brioche bun—but adds a bold, spicy glaze. The sandwich was first introduced last year and quickly gained praise from customers.
Social media buzz helped boost the sandwich’s popularity. One Reddit user described it as “the best fast food fish sandwich I have had in a while,” while others noted it “didn’t disappoint” and shared they “love, love, LOVE” the fiery version.
The original Big Fish remains available year-round, but the Fiery Big Fish is only being offered for a limited time. Beginning March 6, it will be sold at participating Burger King locations across the country.
In addition, members of the Burger King loyalty program, Royal Perks, can score a special deal: from March 5 through April 20, customers can purchase a Big Fish sandwich for just $2 when they buy one at regular price.
With this seasonal return, Burger King continues to cater to fans seeking more than just burgers—especially during a time of year when fish sandwiches dominate fast food menus.
