Hardee’s is turning up the heat this summer with a new drink offering that’s drawing comparisons to a past fan-favorite from rival Chick-fil-A.
The fast food chain has introduced a new Peach Tea and Peach Lemonade, expanding its seasonal beverage lineup. The drinks are now available nationwide and come just in time for summer, offering a refreshingly fruity option without artificial sweeteners.
According to Hardee’s, the new Peach Tea delivers a “sensory experience that transports you to sun-drenched orchards with every cool sip.” Its flavor and style bear a strong resemblance to Chick-fil-A’s White Peach Sunjoy, a limited-time drink released in 2023. Chick-fil-A’s version blended lemonade and iced tea with white peach flavoring. Although the original Sunjoy remains on the Chick-fil-A menu, the peach version has since disappeared—leaving a gap that Hardee’s seems ready to fill.
In a competitive move, Hardee’s is offering its new Peach Tea for just $1 exclusively to My Rewards members who order through the brand’s mobile app. The promotional price is part of Hardee’s broader strategy to draw in digital orders and reward loyal customers.
But the Peach Tea isn’t the only new item on Hardee’s summer menu. The company is expected to unveil additional seasonal offerings, continuing its trend of introducing bold new flavors that rival its fast food competitors.
Hardee’s has made a habit of stepping into territory dominated by other chains. With its tacos channeling Taco Bell and its biscuit sandwiches rivaling Bojangles, the Peach Tea marks another calculated move to challenge popular favorites in the fast food space.
