SAN ANGELO, TX (May 5, 2025) – Whataburger is showing appreciation for teachers during National Teacher Appreciation Week, May 5-9, by offering free breakfast and awarding $75,000 in grants.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Texas-based fast food chain is celebrating educators by providing a free breakfast entrée to teachers and school staff. The offer is available Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. at participating locations. To claim the free meal, teachers need to present a valid school ID when ordering in-store, at the drive-thru, or for takeout. The offer is not available through the Whataburger app or website.
Teachers can choose from a variety of breakfast items, including Breakfast on a Bun, Taquito with cheese, or the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit.
In addition to the free breakfast, Whataburger is awarding 75 classroom grants of $1,000 each to educators as part of the company’s 75th anniversary celebration. The grants, totaling $75,000, will be distributed across Whataburger’s 16-state service area to support local students and teachers. These “WhataTeacher” grants recognize teachers who go the extra mile to make a difference in their classrooms and communities.
Since 2022, Whataburger has donated more than $160,000 in WhataTeacher grants, funding initiatives that directly benefit educators and their students. The grants are part of Whataburger’s Feeding Student Success program, which focuses on both supporting education and addressing food insecurity.
