MILWAUKEE — Nine local chefs will put their culinary skills to the test by creating unique dishes using only ingredients from McDonald’s. The challenge is part of the annual Unwrapped MKE fundraiser benefiting SHARP Literacy.
The event is scheduled for Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at 3rd Street Market Hall, located near Vel R. Phillips and Wisconsin avenues.
Tickets cost $100, with all proceeds supporting SHARP Literacy. The organization promotes STEAM-based education for children in kindergarten through fifth grade across 42 Milwaukee-area schools.
Lynda Welsh, SHARP Literacy’s president and CEO, and Amanda Wisth, chef and owner of Lemonyay, discussed the fundraiser during a Tuesday interview on WISN 12 News at 11.
