Chick-fil-A Inc. has confirmed it is considering opening a new restaurant in the Muncy area.
“While we are still early in the process, Chick-fil-A is happy to share that we are actively pursuing a new location in Muncy, Pennsylvania,” the company said in a statement.
The potential site is at Lycoming Crossing Shopping Center in Muncy Township, next to Starbucks, according to a local official.
“We look forward to working through the approval process with the community and are excited by the prospect of joining this neighborhood,” Chick-fil-A added. “We hope to serve new guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality.”
A Chick-fil-A restaurant is currently being built on Maynard Street, near the recently opened Wawa store.
Each Chick-fil-A location, which is locally owned and operated, typically creates between 80 and 120 jobs, the company said.
Chick-fil-A now runs over 3,000 restaurants across the United States.
