From April 28 to May 4, Tim Hortons will once again launch its annual Smile Cookie campaign, with 100% of the proceeds going to over 600 local charities and community organizations across Canada. These causes are carefully chosen by Tim Hortons restaurant owners in each community.
Last year, the Smile Cookie campaign raised nearly $18.8 million, contributing to the over $129 million raised since its inception in 1996. This initiative is a beloved tradition, allowing guests to support their communities simply by purchasing a delicious treat.
Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons, shared his excitement for the return of the campaign: “Each year, Tim Hortons restaurant owners, their teams, and our guests come together to make a significant impact. Last year, thanks to our generous guests, we raised nearly $18.8 million. We invite everyone to join us again this year to support the Smile Cookie week. It’s a simple and heartwarming way to give back to local communities.”
This year’s Smile Cookies feature Tim Hortons’ new Chocolate Chunk Cookies, which are hand-decorated with pink and blue icing to form a cheerful smile. Customers can purchase the cookies at their local Tim Hortons or order through the Tims app for delivery.
Additionally, for the first time, Tim Hortons is offering a reversible Smile Cookie plushie. All net proceeds from plushie sales will be donated to local charities. For larger pre-orders, customers can use an order form available at Tim Hortons locations.
The Smile Cookie campaign continues to be one of the most feel-good events of the year, making it easy for Canadians to make a difference while enjoying a tasty treat.
