Wendy’s is taking its signature burgers from the drive-thru to the grocery aisle.
The fast food chain, known for its “fresh, never frozen” beef, has begun selling branded burger patties in select retail stores.
This move caters to customers who prefer to enjoy restaurant-style meals from the comfort of their own homes.
A recent TikTok video posted by user @cashaunna40 shows Wendy’s-branded, refrigerated (not frozen) burger patties available at a Kroger supermarket. While the video has garnered attention, it remains unclear how widely the product is distributed nationwide.
Food blogger Snackolator reported spotting the patties in both Kroger and King Soopers locations across Colorado and Ohio, suggesting a limited regional rollout for now.
This new grocery item joins a growing list of Wendy’s products making their way into stores. Last year, the brand’s popular chili, a longtime menu staple, became available in canned form at various retailers.
In addition to expanding its ready-to-eat products, Wendy’s is also branching out through creative brand partnerships. The company has teamed up with Cheez-It to develop a new snack. According to food news outlet Sporked.com, the upcoming release will feature Cheez-It crackers flavored like Wendy’s Baconator burger. The snack aims to combine the bold, savory taste of the Baconator with the familiar crunch and cheese flavor of Cheez-It.
It is not yet known if this partnership will extend to Wendy’s in-restaurant menu. However, Wendy’s has previously collaborated with Taco Bell to create a limited-time menu item that included an oversized Cheez-It cracker inside a taco.
With more products appearing on store shelves, Wendy’s continues to explore ways to reach customers outside of its traditional restaurants—offering them the flavors they love, anytime and anywhere.
