Whataburger is honoring teachers this May by offering a free breakfast and classroom grants in celebration of National Teacher Appreciation Week.
From May 5 to 9, teachers and school staff can visit participating Whataburger locations between 5 and 9 a.m. to receive a complimentary breakfast entrée. To claim the offer, educators simply need to show a valid school ID at the counter or drive-thru. Popular breakfast items such as the Taquito with Cheese, Breakfast on a Bun, and the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuit are available. The promotion is valid for both dine-in and takeout, but not for online or app orders.
The breakfast giveaway is just the beginning of Whataburger’s appreciation efforts. In honor of its 75th anniversary, the company is also awarding $1,000 classroom grants to 75 teachers, totaling $75,000. These grants are part of Whataburger’s WhataTeacher program, which supports educators who make a significant impact in their schools and communities.
Since launching the program in 2022, Whataburger has donated over $160,000 through the grants. The initiative, known as Feeding Student Success, focuses on supporting education and addressing food insecurity. It includes efforts such as scholarships, college resource rooms, and partnerships with local schools.
Whether it’s enjoying a free breakfast or applying for a classroom grant, Whataburger is ensuring that teachers feel appreciated this week, providing both a tasty treat and a generous boost for their classrooms.
